Empire Resources is a Cayman Islands based global mining resources fund the will be open for subscription applications from institutions and sophisticated investors from August 1st. 2008

Description

The Fund is a diversified fund of mining and resources investments, in different stages of the resource cycle, with exposure to a portfolio of commodities, projects and countries. The Fund seeks to exploit  emerging opportunities and situations fuelled by growth and global commodity demand, particularly in developing countries.  It will have a significant  focus on early stage investment opportunities, from seed capital, and pre-IPO raisings.

The Fund is a wholesale fund open only to institutions and qualified professional investors. The Minimum subscription will be set at US$500,000 or equivalent in other currencies.

The Team

The Investment Manager, Advisory Board and their affiliates comprise one of the most experienced global resources teams in the world with a long list of highly successful ventures to their credit. By leveraging the expertise, contacts and network of its principals and Advisory Committee, the Fund is well positioned to opportunistically invest and fund opportunities within the global mining and resources sectors at an early stage of their development.

Objective

The Fund seeks to provide a highly effective conduit for private clients, institutions, funds, and other investment managers seeking exposure to mining and resources markets, industry expertise and ‘deal’ flow, allowing invested funds to gain access at the ground floor level of ventures, in a manner rarely matched.
